Giving thanks

It’s been six months since I boarded the first of many airplanes to explore the first of many communities for #meetthenorth. I’d recently been sponsored by Lindblad-Expeditions-National Geographic and joined their community of curious, engaged travelers.

I was given a mission: travel the north, listen to its stories, and share.

The work has just begun, and I’m honoured to be planning a second year of adventures.

So, on our almost-six-month-travel-anniversary, here are some flowers for you, Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic. These are from North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, the first place I traveled to experience a different idea of north and a land that calls the tundra to mind.

This week’s posts are for gratitude. Thanks also to the expedition leaders who took the leap with me (can I go over there? #illberightback) and to my shipmates.
