About
Meet the North is a project about the lives of northerners from Svalbard to Greenland, Iceland, the Canadian Arctic, and beyond. These are among the most remarkable places on Earth, and the best way to understand them is to ask those who know them best.
From 2015-2018, journalist Jennifer Kingsley and photographer Eric Guth travelled the north, speaking to people they met and learning their stories.
This project got its direction from the people of the north. Their ideas set our path; we listened, and we followed their lead. By meeting one person at a time, and by asking that person to introduce us to someone new, we got to know some of the Arctic community, and we are sharing our journey with you.
For four years, we travelled the north and now we have begun to work in the South Pacific. If you would like to keep up with our journey, please follow @jenniferkingsley on Instagram, or Meet Jennifer Kingsley on Facebook. You can always find stories and links at the main site, www.jenniferkingsley.ca
This project is made possible with the support of Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic.
