At Play: Hraun-Háls, Snæsfellsnes Peninsula

It’s our second day on the farm when Eyberg and Lauga offer to show us what they do for fun. “My hobby,” says Eyberg at Hraun-Háls dairy farm, “my tractors.” It takes about two years to restore one of these machines to mint condition. This one belonged to his wife’s uncle. He also restored the very first tractor that was ever used on this farm. His dad brought it home in 1964, and Eyberg first “drove” it when he was two years old. “24 hours a day is not enough for us,” says Eyberg, “29 would be good.”
