Many people come to the sheep round up on horseback, and finding your horses again can be a bit of a trick.
Guðmundur Stefán Finnbogason (Gummí) is another son from Minni-Mástunga farm, and he’s gathered his five horses together to drive the sheep the last seven kilometers back home. To find these horses among 150, he needed a bit of help from his dad, who knows their faces so well.
From here, Eric and I will follow over 100 sheep, 5 horses and a dog back to the farm for supper. Gummí and his dad will lead the way.
