Unknowables

I’ve spent the first ten days of this year in relative silence, holding myself slightly apart from the crowd. I began the New Year by thinking ahead, and then realized how I’ve made a habit of skipping to the future – which can never be more than imagined. Too much time travel is a good way to miss out.

Now that I’m ready to write again, I’m thinking about the writer’s quandary, illustrated here by @eric_guth and few Adelie penguins. How much to hold back? How much to join in? When to maintain the line and when to jump over it?

All unknowables. So hey 2017, here goes nothing. Game on!
