Anniversary

#meetthenorth in Scotland! It was two years ago this week that I packed my bags to begin this project, and my first stop was this comparatively tropical landscape on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides.

Scotland now markets itself as the “Near Arctic Nation,” as the Arctic Ocean opens up and many countries want to stake a claim in it.

My visit prepped me for the true Arctic with tundra-like landscapes, beautiful rainbows, and even a flamingo. Happy 2nd Anniversary Meet the North!
